The sign read Crystallomancy: Scrying For Your Future, and hummed in neon pink against the equally colourful display of the shop.

“What do you think?” Soubi playfully nudged Ritsuka’s shoulder. “Shall we see what they say for us?”

Shoving his hands in his pockets, Ritsuka frowned up at him. “You don’t really believe in that rubbish, do you?”

“No, not really. It’s just a bit of fun.” Reaching down with a smile, Soubi also slipped his fingers into Ritsuka’s pocket, curling them around Ritsuka’s wrist and squeezing. “I believe in you,” he added in a whisper. “And in our future.”

“I want you to say it.”

Ritsuka could barely make a coherent noise, let alone say a whole sentence. The bath water was making his fingers wrinkle; they’d been sitting there a while. Soubi held him close, licked his neck, murmuring in his sonorous voice against Ritsuka’s skin.

“Ritsuka, I want…” The fact that Soubi could say he ‘wanted’ anything was amazing in itself. They’d come a long way.

Ritsuka rose up onto his knees, angling himself. Soubi guided Ritsuka's hips as he carefully took Soubi in for the first time.

“I’m lonely without you,” he breathed against Soubi’s mouth.
